How to Make a Smoothie Posted: 14 Nov 2021 08:00 AM PST Blending up a smoothie might be one of the tastiest ways to get your daily fruits or vegetables. Fortunately, you don't really need a recipe to make a delicious smoothie. Consider what you have on hand and what flavors you'd like in the smoothie. For example, blend yogurt with peaches for a creamy smoothie or include peanut butter if you want a protein-rich drink. Make substitutions according to your diet and enjoy your custom smoothie! [Edit]Creating a Custom Smoothie - Pour of liquid into a blender. If you put the liquid into the blender first, the machine will have an easier time combining the ingredients. Although milk and juice are common smoothie liquids, you could use water, coconut milk, yogurt, or non-dairy milk, such as soy, hemp, or almond milk.[1]
- Put 2 to 3 cups (350 to 525 g) of fruit into the blender. Most smoothies include fruit and you can choose a single type or a combination. You can also decide if you'd like to use fresh or frozen fruit. Frozen fruit will make your smoothie slightly thicker, so you may want to leave the ice out when you blend it. Keep in mind that some fruits, such as bananas or mangoes, are so sweet that you might not need to use additional sweeteners. Try making a smoothie with any of these fruits:[2]
- Berries: strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries
- Citrus: oranges, grapefruits
- Pears
- Stone fruit: peaches, plums, nectarines, cherries
- Mangos
- Bananas
- Papayas
- Scoop in additional dairy if you'd like to thicken the smoothie. Instead of pouring in more milk, which will make the smoothie thinner, add a scoop of Greek yogurt or frozen yogurt. The Greek yogurt will add protein and firm up the smoothie while the frozen yogurt will make the entire smoothie taste creamier and thick.
- Experiment by using different flavors of yogurt. You could match the flavors of the fruits or use complementary flavors. For example, make a peach smoothie with peach Greek yogurt or try a peanut butter smoothie with chocolate frozen yogurt.
- Include spices, herbs, or flavorings to make a unique smoothie. You'll get a lot of delicious flavor from the produce you use, so you don't have to add spices unless you want a very specific flavor. For example, if you want warming flavors, add a few pinches of cinnamon, ginger, turmeric, or cardamom. For a strong herbal flavor, put 1 to 2 sprigs of fresh herbs, such as basil or lavender.
- Add nut butter, oats, or nuts to give the smoothie a filling texture. If you'd like more protein in your smoothie, add 1 to 2 spoonfuls of your favorite nut butter, rolled oats, or tofu. You might want to include interesting textures by mixing in a handful of nuts or seeds, such as chia seeds, flaxseeds, or sunflower seeds.
- Once you've blended the smoothie, you may want to include even more unique textures. You could stir in a handful of dried fruit, a few spoonfuls of toasted coconut, a small scoop of mini-chocolate chips, or a handful of crushed graham crackers.
- Include a scoop of protein powder or your favorite supplement. If you'd like to add protein, but don't want your smoothie to taste like peanut butter, add about 2 tablespoons (28 g) of protein powder. The powder will quickly dissolve in the smoothie. This is also a great chance to use any powdered nutritional supplement you're taking.
- Try blending your collagen supplement into your morning breakfast smoothie, for instance.
- Mix in your choice of sweetener according to your taste. You can use your favorite type of sweetener to enhance the flavor of your smoothie. If you don't want to use standard sugar, try adding a few soft dates or dried figs, prunes, or apricots. You can also drizzle honey, maple syrup, or agave syrup into the smoothie.[3]
- If you're unsure how much sweetener to add, you may want to blend the smoothie and then taste it. This will give you a better idea of how much sweetener to use.
- Add about 1 cup (220 g) of ice. If you'd like a thick smoothie, start with at least 1 cup (220 g) of ice and add more as needed. If you're using frozen fruit, you could leave the ice out since the frozen fruit will act like ice. Keep in mind that if you leave the ice out with fresh fruit, your smoothie will be more like juice.[4]
- You can freeze any of the smoothie ingredients to help the drink firm up. For example, instead of using fresh berries, open a bag of frozen berries and pour them directly into the blender.
- Cover the blender and blend the smoothie for about 1 minute. Keep blending until the ingredients are combined and as smooth as you like. Then, pour the smoothie into 1 or 2 serving glasses and enjoy!
- If you need to store extra smoothie, pour it into an airtight container and refrigerate it for up to 3 days or freeze it for up to 8 months. Keep in mind that the smoothie will begin to melt in the fridge and you may want to blend it with more ice before you serve it. To serve the frozen smoothie, transfer it directly to the blender and mix it until it's smooth.
- Add vegetables if you'd like a fresh-tasting smoothie that isn't very sweet. Cut back the amount of fruit you use so you use a total of 2 to 3 cups (350 to 525 g) of fresh produce. You might use 1 cup of fruit (175 g) and 1 cup (175 g) of vegetables, for instance. Leafy greens, such as spinach and kale, blend easily.[5]
- You could also try celery, cucumber, or bell peppers.
[Edit]Trying Specific Combinations - Create a creamy smoothie with mangoes and peaches. Make a refreshing fruit smoothie by blending 3 cups (495 g) of chopped mangos with 2 cups (450 g) of chopped peaches, 1 cup (285 g) of plain Greek yogurt, of milk, and 1 teaspoon (2 g) of grated ginger. Then, taste the smoothie and add honey until it's as sweet as you like.[6]
- If you'd like a slightly minty taste, add 4 fresh mint leaves before you blend the smoothie.
- Substitute any type of yogurt you like. For example, use peach yogurt for an extra fruity flavor.
- Make a classic strawberry banana smoothie. This naturally sweetened smoothie is a popular smoothie for good reason. You'll need to blend 2 cups (300 g) of frozen strawberries with 1 fresh banana, of milk, 1 cup (220 g) of ice, and 1 tablespoon (21 g) of honey. You can taste the smoothie and add more honey if it's not sweet enough for your taste.[7]
- For a really strong strawberry flavor, try using strawberry milk!
- If you're a big fan of berries, you can make other berry smoothies as well, including mixed berry and raspberry varieties.
- Blend spinach with berries to make a vegan green smoothie. Smoothies are a great way to sneak in your daily veggies. Put 2 cups (450 g) of fresh spinach into a blender along with 1 frozen banana and 1/2 cup (50 g) of mixed frozen berries. Then, add 1 tablespoon (7 g) of flaxseed meal, 1 tablespoon (16 g) of natural peanut butter, and of plant-based milk, such as soy or hemp milk, before you blend the smoothie.[8]
- If you don't like flaxseed meal or peanut butter, you can leave them out or use your favorite nut butter or spread.
- To make this smoothie thicker, add 1 tablespoon (16 g) of extra peanut butter at a time. To thin it, blend in of liquid at a time.
- Mix frozen blueberries with coconut milk for a refreshing smoothie. For a smoothie that doesn't contain dairy, milk, or bananas, blend 1½ cups (232 g) of blueberries with of unsweetened coconut milk, 1 tablespoon (1 g) of fresh mint leaves, of lime juice, 1 teaspoon (7 g) of honey, and 1 cup (220 g) of ice.[9]
- Use any type of berries in this smoothie. For example, try blackberries or raspberries.
- Combine cold coffee with milk for a coffee protein smoothie. Instead of reaching for a cup of hot coffee in the morning, make a filling coffee smoothie. Blend of cold coffee with of almond milk, 1/2 of a frozen banana, 1 tablespoon (14 g) of light chocolate or vanilla protein powder, and 2 ice cubes.[10]
- If you don't like almond milk, use any type of milk, such as cow's milk, soy milk, oat milk, or hemp milk.
- For an even heartier smoothie, add 1/4 cup (22 g) of rolled oats.
- Blend citrus fruits with mango and pineapple for a sunny-looking smoothie. Peel and quarter 1 orange and 1/4 of a lemon. Put the citrus into a blender along with ½ cup of (75 g) pineapple chunks, ¼ cup (60 g) of frozen mango chunks, and 1 cup (220 ml) of ice cubes. Then, blend the ingredients until the citrus fruits release their juice and the mixture is smooth.[11]
- If you'd like an even creamier smoothie, add 1/2 cup (140 g) of plain or flavored yogurt.
- Whip up a rich chocolate peanut butter smoothie. Peel 2 bananas and put them into a blender along with 1/4 cup (62 g) of creamy peanut butter, of milk, 1/2 cup (120 g) of plain or vanilla yogurt, 2 tablespoons (14 g) of cocoa powder, and 3/4 cup (165 g) of ice. Blend the ingredients until the banana is smooth and combined.[12]
- Try making this smoothie with your favorite nut butter. You could use almond, hazelnut, or cashew butter for a change.
- Drink your smoothie immediately after you blend it. Most smoothies will start to separate if they're stored in the refrigerator after blending.
- If you're diabetic or watching your sugar intake, avoid adding extra sweetener, such as honey. Remember that fruit will break down into sugar when your body digests it.
- You can use a smoothie as a base while drinking tangy tonics like malt vinegar.
[Edit]Warnings - Use caution when you clean the blender blade. These spin easily and are very sharp.

How to Can You Reverse Gray Hair Posted: 14 Nov 2021 12:00 AM PST If you're dealing with a few gray hairs (or a whole head of them), that's okay! Going gray is natural, and it's a normal part of aging. While you may not be able to reverse gray hair entirely, there are some ways you may be able to prevent it. We've answered some of your common questions so you can learn more about going gray. [Edit]Can graying hair be reversed? - It can't be reversed, but it can be slowed. Unless you want to dye your hair, what's already gray is going to stay gray. However, there are a few things you can do to slow down the process. Keep in mind, though, that the biggest factor that influences gray hair is genetics, so different people will have different levels of success.[1]
- Most people start to get gray hair in their 30s or 40s, with a few people even going gray in their 20s or teens.
[Edit]What vitamins help with gray hair? - Vitamin B12 may help. Research shows that many adults with gray hair also have a vitamin B12 deficiency.[2] Aim to get 2.4 mcg of vitamin B12 per day in supplements or in shots.[3]
- If you think you have a deficiency, talk to your doctor about your options.
- Copper might play a role. Copper is an essential nutrient in your body, and it helps produce melanin, or the pigment that colors your hair.[4] Try to eat peanuts, almonds, lentils, beef liver, crabmeat, and white mushrooms to ensure you're getting enough copper in your daily diet.[5]
- Experts recommend getting around 900 mcg of copper every day.
- More research is needed about zinc and iron. Although some studies suggest that those nutrients can play a role in graying hair, they aren't all conclusive.[6] However, it can't hurt to double check that you're getting enough zinc and iron in your diet. Aim for 8 to 11 mg of zinc every day.[7] Try to get 8.7 mg of iron per day if you're a man, and 14.8 mg of iron per day if you're a woman.[8]
[Edit]Can you naturally reverse gray hair? - No, but you may be able to prevent it with lotus flower oil. Some studies show that the acids in lotus flower oil helped hair produce more melanin, which could be helpful in gray hair prevention. While these studies haven't been reproduced, it won't hurt you to add lotus flower oil into your hair care routine. You can find lotus flower oil at most drug stores.[9]
- Try putting lotus flower oil on your hair once a day. Remember that it won't help reverse your gray hair, but it may slow down the graying of hairs that still have color.
[Edit]Does smoking cause gray hair? - One study says that it does. In 2013, scientists discovered that people who smoked cigarettes went gray around 3 years before their non-smoking counterparts. While these results haven't been reproduced in other studies, if you do smoke, it won't hurt to quit.[10]
- Smoking may cause chemical changes to your body that damage the melanin-producing cells in your hair.
[Edit]Can stress cause gray hair? - Constant, long-term stress may contribute to gray hair. Some studies show that your stress levels may damage the chemicals that produce melanin in your hair. However, more research is needed, so these studies aren't conclusive.[11]
- If you're feeling stressed and you'd like to lower your stress levels, try exercising daily, practicing meditation, and getting at least 8 hours of sleep every night.
- Some studies suggest that oxidative stress, or breathing in toxins like pollutants and heavy metals over a long period of time, may also contribute to gray hair.[12]
- There are many natural remedies suggested for gray hair, like using coconut oil or wheatgrass juice every night. While these won't hurt your hair, they aren't backed by science, so they may not do much.
- Going gray isn't a bad thing! If you really don't like your gray hair, visit a salon to talk about color corrections.

How to Make a Jewelry Holder Posted: 13 Nov 2021 04:00 PM PST Are you tired of always searching for the right piece of jewelry and want a better way to organize? Luckily, you won't have to break the bank with store-bought organizers. There are a lot of custom holders you can make with supplies you already have at home. We'll walk you through how to make a few different holders you can keep on your dresser and hang on your wall. [Edit]Cardboard tubes - Hang your necklaces and bracelets around tubes so they don't tangle. Use an empty paper towel roll so you have more hanging space, but you can use a toilet paper tube for a shorter holder. Paint or glue a piece of fabric or vinyl around the roll so the cardboard doesn't show through. Hot-glue the roll horizontally to a candlestick or the top of a vertical tube so there's room for your necklaces and bracelets to hang down. Then, drape your jewelry over the ends of the roll.[1]
- Decorate your jewelry holder with some faux flowers to make it look more elegant.
- Cardboard tubes also work really well for storing watches.
[Edit]Branches - Try this natural look for your earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. You can buy decorative branches from your local hobby store or find your own outside. If you don't want to attach the base of the branch to anything, simply put it in a vase. Otherwise, hot-glue the thickest end of the branch into the center of a wooden plaque so it's vertical. Once the glue dries, screw through the back of the plaque into the branch so it stays really secure. Hot-glue additional branches if you want additional places to hang your jewelry. Then, just slide your jewelry on all of the vertical twigs at the top.[2]
- Use spray paint to recolor the branch and the plaque if you want to make your jewelry tree more striking. Use an accent color or choose something that matches the rest of your decor.
- You can also screw the branch into the bottom of an old wooden bowl. That way, you can easily toss rings, bracelets, and other jewelry inside.
[Edit]Cheese grater - Revamp an old grater into a stylish earring holder. Clean off your old grater as much as you can and rough up the surface with any sandpaper. You can leave the grater as-is, or you can use an oil-based paint to give it an accent color that stands out in your room. If you paint the grater, wait for it to dry completely before using it. Just hook your earrings in the grater's holes whenever you aren't wearing them.[3]
- Try screwing hooks into the holes on one side of the grater so you can hang up necklaces and bracelets as well.
- If you want to make the grater more decorative, then hot-glue pearl beads to the bottom corners after painting.
[Edit]Tiered plates and candlestick holder - Set rings, earrings, and bracelets here so they're easy to grab and go. Get 2 plates of any size and a short candlestick holder. If you want to, use paint pens to draw designs on the plate to make them pop a little more. Once the paint dries, use super glue to attach the base of the candlestick holder to the center of 1 plate. Then, add glue to the top of the candlestick holder and press the bottom of the second plate on top. Set a heavy book on top of the plate until the glue dries.[4]
- If you use 2 different-sized plates, use the larger plate on the bottom so it's more balanced.
[Edit]Jewelry box - Store rings and pins in a felted box to keep them safe and organized. You can use any small box, such as an empty recipe box or a decorative wooden box from a hobby store. Measure the depth and width of your box, and then cut strips of felt that are the same width as the box. Starting from the longest edge, fold over a section of felt that's the same height as the box. Flip the fabric over and then make another fold. Fold the entire strip like this so it looks like an accordion. Stitch or staple the ends of the felt together before gluing them into the bottom of the box with craft glue. Push your rings or pins between the felt folds so they stay in place.[5]
- You don't have to use folded felt for your entire box. For example, you could keep half of the box empty so you can store loose jewelry or other trinkets.
[Edit]Plaster hand - Slide your rings onto the fingers for a really decorative look. Cut the ends off of an empty plastic bottle and slide a glove over one side. Tape the wrist of the glove tight against the bottle and position it so the fingers point down. Mix plaster following the directions on the package and slowly pour it through the bottle into the glove. Let the plaster dry and harden completely before peeling off the glove. After it dries, display your rings on the fingers.[6]
- You could also drape necklaces or bracelets between the fingers, but they could get tangled.
[Edit]Clothes hanger - Loop your necklaces and bracelets on the hanger rod for a simple solution. Use a wooden hanger with a rod since it'll look better than a plain wire hanger. Use a screwdriver to attach screw-in hooks or pegs along the length of the hanger rod so you can easily hang your jewelry. If you don't have hooks, just clasp your necklace or bracelet around the rod so it goes through the middle.[7]
- Paint or wrap the hanger in fabric if you want to customize it even more.
[Edit]Rake head - Bracelets and necklaces easily fit on the tines of this rustic alternative. Use a garden rake with a metal head that has straight tines so your jewelry doesn't slide off. Cut the handle off of the rake with a saw. Secure the rake against your wall with nails or screws so the tines point straight out. Then, just slide your jewelry onto the tines.[8]
- The rake tines could be sharp, so be careful when you're hanging or grabbing your jewelry.
[Edit]Driftwood and twine - Try this for a simple, natural way to store your necklaces and bracelets. You can find your own piece of driftwood or buy a piece you like from your local craft store. Rather than using hooks or pegs to display your jewelry, hot-glue some decorative stones along the length of your driftwood. Wrap pieces of twine around the ends of the driftwood. Secure the other ends of the twine to your wall with screws or nails so your jewelry holder hangs level.[9]
- You can also try hanging a tree branch on your wall so you have more places to hang your jewelry. Keep the branch pointed up or at an angle so your jewelry doesn't slip off.[10]
[Edit]Paint stir sticks - Paint stir sticks with hooks prevent necklaces and bracelets from tangling. Cut off the curved section of your stir stick as well as 2 pieces that are long. Glue the end pieces you just cut on the back of the stir stick so they're flush with the ends. Pre-drill holes through the ends of the stir stick so it's easier to attach later. Then, paint the stick whatever color you want to match your decor. Add hooks or pegs along the length of the stick, and position it horizontally level against your wall before screwing it in.[11]
- Attach multiple stir sticks to your wall end to end to display a long line of jewelry.
[Edit]Silverware tray - Organize all your jewelry into tray compartments for a clean look. Get a wooden silverware tray that has multiple compartments from a home goods store. Paint the trays whatever colors pop in your room so you can match the rest of your decor. Hold the tray vertically and secure adhesive hooks at the top of each compartment so you can hang longer pieces of jewelry. Then, nail, screw, or use adhesive strips to attach your silverware holder vertically to your wall.[12]
- Try cutting out and gluing scrapbook paper to the back of each tray compartment for added colors and designs.
- The bottoms of each compartment also work well for holding loose jewelry, such as rings or bracelets.
[Edit]Corkboard and pins - You can drape anything over the pins with this minimalist holder. Cut a piece of corkboard to the size you want for your jewelry holder. Set a piece of fabric that's longer than the corkboard on each side with the "good" side face down. Put your corkboard in the middle of the fabric, and glue down the loose edges with fabric glue. Flip your corkboard over and push pins through the fabric wherever you want to hang your jewelry.[13]
- You don't need to add fabric to your corkboard, but it does make it look more attractive.
- If you want to make hanging earrings easier, poke a hole in the corkboard with a pin first and slide the earring hook through it.
[Edit]Pegboard and hooks - Pegboard makes it easy to add hooks for necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. You can leave your pegboard plain or paint it whatever color fits well in your space. Secure your piece of pegboard to your wall using nails or screws so it doesn't come down. Slide some hooks through the holes at the top of the pegboard so you have spots for your long necklaces and bracelets. If you have earrings, just hook them through the holes as is.[14]
- You can also get shelf-holders that fit in pegboard holes so you can set your rings or other decorations on a shelf.
[Edit]Framed lace or burlap - Add a touch of class to your decor with this framed earring holder. Take an old picture frame and trace the shape of it onto the piece of fabric you're using. Cut out your piece of fabric with a pair of scissors so it's the same size as the frame. Staple the fabric onto the back of the frame so it's secure and flush with the edges. After you hang your frame on the wall, simply loop your earring hooks through the fabric so they stay in place.[15]
- You can paint or add decor to the frame if you want to.
- Screw hooks into the bottom of the frame so you have a place to hang your bracelets and necklaces too.
- For a more rustic approach, try stapling chicken wire to the back of the frame instead of fabric.[16]
- Feel free to customize any of the jewelry holders that you make so they fit the aesthetics of your space better! Paint, stain, dye, or decoupage the holder so it really pops!

How to Desensitize Yourself from Emotional Pain Posted: 13 Nov 2021 08:00 AM PST In life, we experience many painful situations like being hated, ignored, tested, misunderstood, underestimated, mocked, troubled and many more. Many of these are not due to our mistakes either. Some people come close, bond and then hurt you and leave. If you don't deserve it, you should not be treated this way. This is to say that pain from any source could be kept away if you are alert of the following things. [Edit]Know the all round effects of pain. - One must know that pain is not only painful; it is, one in a hundred times, helpful too. Usually, though, it is undesirable and simply unwanted. Pain is scientifically said to last not more than a few minutes. It is the one who is suffering who constantly reminds themselves of the past and hence it inflicts more than the real experience itself, over and over again. Pain affects in such a way that it stops you from participating in activities with your usual vigor.[1]
- You may feel laid back.
- You may not do the things you did before because you are hurt.
- You may shut yourself emotionally or physically or both for as long as you feel upset.
- Some even get their frustrations out on others who are innocent.
[Edit]Reason within yourself. - Go back to your past and think of all the things you learnt being hurt. There will be quite a few lessons, from being weaker to stronger in many different ways. Why did you not learn those things before being hurt? If you are capable of learning something why not learn it on time? Why did you wait for pain to teach you or to get you learning?
- Pain is by itself very deep and hurting but reasoning and understanding the situation is of paramount importance. You will be living and dealing with many such events. And you must stand up and fight for yourself, your loved ones and your interests. To be able to do that and to do justice to yourself, you must not let any pain shun you or suppress you for any longer.
[Edit]Get up and get going. - Be aware of what is happening immediately around you. Because when something happens around you it is expected of you by your relatives, neighbors, and friends to know what it is that happened. If you are asked and you are blank, the blankness gives an impression of ignorance or lack of interest. Although it is also expected of a smart individual to not disclose too much information, it is advisable to be calm and know what the present situation demands in terms of emotional output and alertness.
[Edit]Know what matters to you. - Since a conversation is a major deciding factor about an individual's strength and weakness, conversations become the basis of how people treat you. If you know your priorities you could stand by them and defend yourself.[2]
[Edit]React only if you feel like it. - People could hurt you only when you allow them to step into your space. If you do not allow them and they tease you anyway, they feel unattended and don't feel completely satisfied about hurting you. You seem about alright to them while you continue being the way you were in spite of them mistreating you.[3]
- If you sense something brewing, or if you know that someone is about to trouble you, try not to react to their jokes or conversation. Some conversations are not as innocent as they sound in the beginning. It is used as a bait to catch your attention. If it interests you, you may participate in it. Your being hurt depends on your participation.
- The more affected you look, the more it gives an impression to them that they won.
- The more bored of them and uninterested you would appear to them, the more they will turn to someone else to harass.
[Edit]Have a defense system. - Surround yourself with your emotional strength. This could be done negating or denying to fear any threats. When you deny giving up on any fearful thoughts outright, the fearful thoughts subside. The more you fear, the more you feel weak and helpless. The more you try and make efforts towards being more and more positive and powerful, the more it will help you in being stronger emotionally.
- All strength begins in the inside and then it works to the fore!
- Your inner strength or 'will' will be the strongest when you have the assurance that you were either right or you didn't do anything wrong intentionally. Those who intentionally hurt others tend to have lesser or no inner strength. They rely on others for much of their strengths.
- Pick your defense. It could be:
- Silence. Silencing the harasser or the source of your pain by confronting and finishing the conflict.
- Having something else like a resourceful activity to divert your mind.
- Reminding yourself the reason why you would not fall prey to pain or someone's tricks. It could be that you are greater than them, that you have better things to do like an aim than stay in pain, that you would return back and answer the source of all the agony with your victory to clarify where you stand.
[Edit]Positive aggression. - In order to keep hurtful judgments of people away, you must learn about your major interests. When you know your interests, you will be a little aggressive about protecting them when someone tries to manipulate you. People often, knowingly or unknowingly try to manipulate or hurt you based upon what you have said. Once they know that you walk the talk, they will treat you keeping your strengths and attitude in mind.
- Tact is a strong guard. It works like a scarecrow in farms to keep unwanted elements away from destroying the farm. Being tactful begins with knowing your interests and its application. This means that you give a sharp response to someone trying to take you for a ride. This response of yours is not explicitly disrespectful, but it clarifies to the receiver that you don't take rubbish readily. They will have to bite their tongues for attacking you. Which they will and they will go back unhappily messing with the wrong person. Look smart so people think twice before rubbing you in the wrong way.[4]
- The choice of words that a tactful person uses are direct and assertive, such as "I don't find it funny", "Maybe you need a break", "I prefer to finish my work right now", etc.
[Edit]Be aware. - Understand that people who pain others for no mistake of theirs have low morals and moral strength. Hence, people with morals have an upper hand over harassers. This is because moral strength renders great strength in the middle of a fight, argument or in any difficulty.[5]
- The one with strong morals will always have his or her chin up. Their core or belief could never be shaken up by anyone, permanently. At times, some people deliberately try to hurt someone who seems too strong. These strong people seem strong because of a sense of belonging and after doing praiseworthy or good deeds to others.
[Edit]Build your morals. - Moral strength only grows with time and it works like roots to trees in very painful times. You will feel stronger than others who would be in a similar situation who do not indulge in any good work or charity to the unknown. People with moral strength are almost always in a sane mind and are willing to help. They are not too shocked, too helpless or too vulnerable when people see them. Although they may experience these emotions but no one will be able to get the better of them. One of the most rewarding acts is of giving or helping others.[6]
- You could help others without a sacrifice.
- Or help by incurring some cost to you.
- You may help others by sacrificing any of your wants or by going out of your ways. To each his own!
- While all these will technically help others, it will morally build you and strengthen you before you realize it.
- What you get in return? You could give while expecting something in return, expecting more in return, expect nothing in return, give while feeling frustrated, or give and feel happy for no reason. Try to give without expecting and allow yourself some time to adapt this attitude if you will.
- There is no reason to judge someone who is not helping anyone or those who are receiving your help.
[Edit]Be clear. - Be aware that what you owe to do or fulfilling your responsibilities or helping someone is your decision, but these do not ensure freedom from pain by default. Pain should be tackled and it could be lessened with your efforts.
- Know the importance of the kind of troubles you face and give only as much importance to it. Overemphasizing painful words or acts is not the best attitude towards it. Let people be left alone with their inputs. They need not be punished or thought of by you.
- Whenever a new painful situation arises, you get to exercise your reserve of strength or willpower, or develop stronger guards than before. Completely desensitizing yourself from pain will only deprive you of one of the many emotional experiences you are allowed to feel.
- People will make their appearance every now and then. Their interests and intentions may or may not be within your grasp. It is your knowledge and basic guard that makes pain and painful instances ineffective.
- You may or may not be desensitized to pain throughout, but if you manage to do it, you must know that it is you who succeeded with your tact, efforts and abilities.
