The album also broke the US streaming record with 745.92 million streams in its first week, according to Billboard, easily beating Post Malone's Beerbong & Bentleys, which put up 431 million streams in its first week earlier this year. Scorpion racked up record breaking totals this week, toppling single-day records on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, while bringing in over 300 million streams in its first 24 hours. | Polar Fitness suspends its global activity map after privacy concerns Posted: 08 Jul 2018 12:33 PM PDT  Finnish fitness company Polar has temporarily suspended Explore, its global activity map after a pair of reports from De Correspondent and Bellingcat (via ZDNet) pointed out flaws in the app's privacy settings that made it easy for someone to locate the location data of users, echoing a similar privacy incident with another fitness app earlier this year. It's a worrying discovery, as one report was able to use the information to locate the names and addresses of thousands of users who appeared to work for military and intelligence services. | The NASA spacecraft that will journey to the Sun just got its super deluxe heat shield Posted: 08 Jul 2018 06:00 AM PDT  In August, NASA will launch a new interplanetary spacecraft to "touch" the Sun — and the vehicle just got its super durable heat shield for the trip. At the end of June, engineers installed the protective shield on the craft, dubbed the Parker Solar Probe, in Florida, where it's currently being prepped for launch. The heat shield will keep the probe relatively cool as it encounters blistering temperatures near our Solar System's star. The Parker Solar Probe is meant to get closer to the Sun than any vehicle before it. The probe will sit just 4 million miles away from the Sun's surface, where it will interact with the solar corona, or outer atmosphere.
