To avoid paying the company on in-app purchases of subscriptions to services like Tinder Gold and Tinder Plus, Match Group will now encourage users to enter credit card details directly into Tinder's systems, according to Bloomberg, citing new research by Macquarie analyst Ben Schachter. The move is similar to one made by popular video game developer Epic Games, which last year released the Android version of battle royale hit Fortnite via its own downloadable launcher to avoid the 30 percent cut. The biggest update is said to be arriving "later this year" and will add deeper support for truly wireless headphones. Headphones that support fast pair will eventually be able to show the individual battery life data for the case and each earbud independently, as well as pop-up that information when opening or closing the case. While the Amazon-owned company claims it is designed as an educational feature, a number of publishers are demanding that their books be excluded, saying these captions are "unauthorized and brazen infringements of the rights of authors and publishers."
