| Verizon’s new set-top box is possibly the worst option out there for streaming Posted: 12 Nov 2019 05:03 PM PST  Image: Verizon In case you didn't already have a Roku device, an Amazon Fire TV, a Chromecast, or an Apple TV, Verizon is launching a new set-top box called the Verizon Stream TV. It's free for Verizon FiOS subscribers (according to 9to5Google), costs $69.99 otherwise, and it's possibly the worst option for streaming on the market right now. First, and probably most importantly, it doesn't support Netflix. I'm guessing that's all you need to know to never want to use the Stream TV, and I would understand if you've now decided to click away to read any of the other wonderful articles on The Verge. Mark Gurman reports that Apple could launch the machine as early as tomorrow, with sales immediately kicking off this week. The new MacBook Pro is expected to cost "about the same" as the 15-inch model, which starts at $2,399. That's because, according to Gurman, it's going to fully replace the classic 15-inch MacBook Pro in Apple's laptop lineup. I think some people were expecting it to slot in above the existing options as a premium choice, but apparently not. Neither the White House nor Apple have officially announced the trip, but the tour would emphasize Cook's amicable relationship with Trump and the current administration as the US's trade war with China continues to drag on. The publication writes that the terminated employee provided names and personal information of other employees to reporters. One of the suspended employees was believed to have accessed documents not needed for their job, while the other had been tracking staff calendars. On November 12th, NASA officials announced that the item formerly known as MU69 — and once nicknamed Ultima Thule — would now have the name Arrokoth, which is the word for "sky" in the Powhatan / Algonquian language. Arrokoth remains the most distant object ever visited by a spacecraft — located approximately 4 billion miles away from Earth in a distant region of the Solar System called the Kuiper Belt.
